“My photography is a continual love letter to light. The seemingly mundane, but beautiful moments in my everyday life influence how I use light in my work – such as when the sun shines through the trees and the dappled golden light dances on the grass, or how the morning glow scrapes across the wall in my kitchen as it slowly creeps through the window. I fell in love with how light romanticizes ordinary things, so I try to recreate that feeling. Light can affect mood, direct your attention, emphasize textures, or tell a story.

My creative process doesn’t just start and end with light, however! The people that I work with also greatly influence me. I am so lucky that I am able to collaborate with clients and other creatives on every project that comes my way. Whether it’s brainstorming ideas, learning something new, seeing from a different perspective, or collaborating with assistants, stylists and retouchers, the connections that are formed while creating together are so meaningful to me.” – Marci Rhodes, Photographer
